The fact that it is so difficult right now is the reason you really need to do it. Yoga X will improve your overall effectiveness and make you less prone to injury. If you are new to Yoga, just as I was, I am here to tell you to stick with it. You will be amazed at your progress by the end of this 90 day workout. I think everyone struggles with Yoga X at first so you are not alone but Yoga X is what makes P90X a complete fitness program.
We are so used to running or jumping, pushing or pulling, lifting and squating. P90X definitely turns all of that upside down with Yoga X. These workouts were meant to be hard and push you to your limits and let me tell you, they really live up to that. Do what you can. Stretch as low as you can.

Most people hate it because they are not good at it and it preys on their weaknesses. Whether you do it or not is up to you but I always suggest sticking with the program the way it is laid out for at least the first 90 days. Name required. Mail will not be published required. Phear the Ninja Hamster Zena! I still can't get into yoga either. I traded for and borrowed the workouts, and never had Yoga X. I really wanted to do more yoga, but it just never happened. Like Rose, I still got strength gains and fat loss from P90X. For details, please see my profile. I'm in Phase 2 right now. It's a long, tough in a different way workout, but I think it's a good one. I really don't "like" yoga. My body needed the stretch and that type of push. For this 3rd week, I am going to do the rotation as written and try to add cardio on one of the days.
If that doesn't work, I'm going to again do an 8 day rotation and throw in a cardio day at the end. It's different than I expected. Hi there, This is interesting, because I just did 1 hour and 15 minutes of the P90X Yoga for the 1st time.
I agree it's long. I practice yoga regularly or I try to , so this wasn't new to me. However, I can see that it could be daunting because it's so long. I think you'll get many of the benefits of the P90X yoga in a shorter workout, and these will also help you work up to the 1. Yoga X is a minute sequence combining hatha and vinyasa yoga styles. In both flowing and held postures, you'll tone, stretch, improve balance and build core strength.
If you follow one of the schedules included with the program, you'll do Yoga X once or twice per week, depending upon the particular week and whether you are following the Classic, Lean or Doubles track. If you have never done yoga, it can seem intimidating. Yoga X is also the longest of the P90X sessions. For those reasons it can be tempting to skip it.

It can also help reduce stress, anxiety, pain, high blood pressure and asthma, as well as help relieve many chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center.
The practice is conducted in a state of deep focus and concentration, and participants are taught to be aware of every part of their body and of their breath. This trains your focus and concentration outside of yoga class, and you may see yourself staying calmer and on task more often than before you did yoga.
