In , around people signed an online petition to encourage the parole board to free Perrotte. The two-person panel still denied his request for release. Despite the parole board's continued denials, all of Perrotte's applications were stuffed full of testimony in his favor from prison counselors and guards.
When he came up for parole in , it also included letters of support from Joey and Willy Rizzo, Jilly Rizzo's sons. His daughter Abby Rizzo continued to speak out against Perrotte's parole, as did Frank Sinatra's wife and children. In , Rizzo was convicted of bank fraud, but a judge ruled he was too old and sick to go to prison.
